Designed for an avid rock climber, this remodel excavates the center of this house to connect the many levels through a canyon-like space with undulating walls beneath a giant skylight. Bridges, stairs and a 30-foot climbing wall connect the spaces. Located in San Francisco, the project incorporates an array of green features including energy efficient design, recycled and salvaged materials, low-toxic and natural finishes, and photovoltaic panels. It is currently under construction.
